Clifford Lewis - Chief Executive Officer
Clifford M. Lewis brings to Currenex more than 25 years experience in the international financial markets as well as a unique network of long-standing business relationships in over 30 countries.
Prior to joining Currenex, Mr Lewis was the Chief Operating Officer of BRIDGE eMarkets, a unit of Bridge Information Systems responsible for wholesale financial market transactions. Before that, he was an executive with CBOT and a Management Board Member for CBOT-EUREX Joint Venture, Inc., an alliance between two of the world's largest derivatives exchanges. From 1978 to 1991, Mr. Lewis was an executive with the World Bank Group, where he had various high-level strategic planning and operational assignments.
His experience also includes managing strategy, restructuring and technology engagements at leading banks, exchanges and clearing houses as a partner in the International Financial Services [Group] at KPMG Peat Marwick.
Articles by Mr. Lewis on a range of policy and technical subjects have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Atlantic Monthly, National Interest and other publications. Mr. Lewis is an active member of various advisory groups on international economics and finance at the Heritage Foundation Cato Institute and American Enterprise Institute and is a Fellow of Harvard University's Center for International Affairs.
Rodney Yoshida - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Yoshida brings over 20 years' experience in financial services and banking to Currenex. Previously, Mr. Yoshida was the Director of Finance for EBS, the largest electronic interbank FX broker. Prior to EBS, he spent 14 years with Citigroup in a variety of senior finance and accounting positions.
Chip Lowry - Chief Operating Officer
Chip Lowry is a senior managing director and the chief operating officer for eExchange, State Street Global Markets’ suite of fully hosted electronic trading solutions. Mr. Lowry joined State Street in 1992 where he worked in product development and currency risk management roles. Previously, he held positions in corporate finance and information technology with Alex. Brown & Sons, and in the financial systems consulting practice of American Management Systems. Mr. Lowry's industry activities include workgroup participation for FIX, CLS and the Bank of England. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and computer science from Trinity College in Connecticut and an MBA from Yale University. Mr. Lowry is also a CFA charter holder.
Harsha Bhat - Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Bhat was an early member of the Currenex team and was involved in all aspects of the Currenex trading platform including design, architecture and leading its development. Prior to joining Currenex Mr. Bhat held management positions at several startups and large companies in the Silicon valley including Everest Design Automation (acquired by Synopsys), Silicon Graphics and Ansoft Corporation (acquired by Ansys).
Mr. Bhat has a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelors in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai.
Richard Farrell - Global Head of Sales
Mr. Farrell joined Currenex in 2005, bringing over 20 years of experience in international sales of technical solutions in the financial sector. Prior to joining Currenex, he was in charge of major account groups for Reuters for 10 years. He has also held positions at IBM and in global sales for Moody’s, and has been involved in private equity investments for IPC and Telerate. Mr. Farrell holds a B.A. from CUNY. |
